Artist Of The Month - Fran Reynolds
We’re excited to announce our Artist of the Month for November, Fran Reynolds.
Fran is involved in many aspects of our work, from performing in the Carousel Chorus, presenting Carousel Radio and Meet Me In Five, to helping keep things running smoothly as a Blue Camel Club committee member.
Fran says “I love creating and singing new songs. My favourite Chorus song is called Walking in the Dead of Night.” As part of the Chorus, Fran is working on an exciting new project in partnership with Wakehurst and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a presenter on the award-winning Carousel Radio, Fran has hosted many themed episodes. Fran says, “I love everything about presenting. My favourite episode was about money and independence, where I was filmed in my own home”. When asked to describe working on Carousel Radio, Fran describes the experience in one word, “WICKED!”.
Fran is equally passionate about the Blue Camel Club, where she’s an active committee member, helping to run the club, oversee accessibility, decide on themes, and act as a steward on the night. Her favourite theme has been creatures, and she especially enjoys dancing in front of the VJ projections. Club-goers at the next night can catch Fran DJing for 20 minutes, with the promise of a few festive tracks.
Outside of Carousel, Fran channels her creativity into gardening with the Outlook gardening group. She also loves transport, particularly buses and glass lifts. She has a soft spot for the Churchill Square lift, though she says, “I like to watch the lift instead of being in it.” Fran has visited the i360 twice and can confirm this also counts as a lift!
Fran says her favourite thing about working with Carousel is collaborating with other artists and being part of the community. Her creativity and can-do attitude make her such an important part of the team.
