Blue Camel Club

“This is as good as it gets and worth celebrating” Chris Kerridge, Cherish

The biggest and best learning disability club night on the South Coast

Let’s go out tonight!

Blue Camel Club has been running for 24 years. Over that time, Carousel has run 109 club events in Brighton and the South East, welcomed around 33,000 club goers and given a stage to 2,530 learning disabled performers.

A highlight in the social calendar for learning disabled people from across the region, it’s a place where friendships are made and re-kindled, information is shared, support networks are strengthened and everyone is welcome.

A night like no other

Booking only the very best in learning disabled performers, the club is also a showcase for high quality and diverse talent from around the UK.

In 2003 Carousel rolled out the club formula across the South East, with six new club nights, three of which continue to run independently.

“This is what disabled people need to do – to step out there and make friends. I was shocked at how big an event it is!” Michael, Clubgoer

Meet the team

Everything that happens at a Blue Camel Club is down to the expertise and enthusiasm of the team. They decide the themes, oversee the publicity and lead on making the event safe and fun for all. At the clubs, they work as stewards and hosts alongside comperes Jason Eade, Susanah Hall-Hirst and Carousel staff.
