Artist Of The Month - Kez Edwards
Meet Kez Edwards, Carousel’s Artist of the Month for December 2025!
Kez is a skilled DJ who performs at a number of events across the South Coast, including our very own Blue Camel Club. He’s been part of the community for many years and always brings his brilliant energy to the stage.
Kez first got into DJing at 17 while working with Spiral Radio, who told him he had a real ear for mixing. That moment sparked his interest, and he’s been hooked ever since. He now uses his own Pioneer XDJ-XZ controller, which he takes with him to clubs and events as part of his mobile DJ service. Performing at birthdays and parties, Kez has plans to grow it further by setting up a website (watch this space!).
Kez has been DJing for the Blue Camel Club for around 13 years and still loves every moment of it. This year, he also helped run our workshops for new DJs, sharing his experience on the decks and helping upcoming performers prepare for their first set this December. As he puts it, “it’s really rewarding to help other people get into DJing.”
Over the years, he says “I’ve become better at planning sets and tuning in to what the crowd might enjoy”. Before a show, he visualises the Blue Camel Club stage, listens to tracks and asks himself whether each one will work for the audience. His favourite song to play is Freed From Desire, because it never fails to get people moving.
When he’s not DJing, Kez loves taking photos of Brighton’s sunsets while he’s out in the city.
When asked about his favourite thing about being a Carousel artist, Kez says, “the energy from the audience during sets is mind-blowing. I also enjoy the feedback after performances!”.
